Al Khaleej sugar to raise capacity

Feb 22: Al Khaleej Sugar Co., the world`s largest sugar refinery, plans to raise production capacity of refined white sugar by 17 per cent by the end of this year. The Dubai-based company seeks to increase output capacity to 7,000 tonnes day from 6,000 tonnes, it said in an e-store 160,000 tonnes of raw sugar, on top of existing capacity of 1 million tonnes, the company said on February 1. It also has four silos with capacity to store 132,000 tonnes of white sugar.
