Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said his government is helping sugar industry in every possible way.

“The government is helping sugar industry in every possible way. We’ve given soft loans to sugar factories so that they can give Fair Retail Price (FRP) to farmers, which is highest amongst states,” the Chief Minister said at the Vasantdada Sugar Institute (VSI) at Manjri near here.

Fadnavis praised VSI’s role for special focus on research for new technologies and stressed on post-sugar production research.

The government is positive about purchasing power from co-generation plants, the Chief Minister said.
