Sugar mill prices ease on regular arrivals, weak demand

              Sugar millgate prices closed lower by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following regular arrivals from mills amid limited buying by stockist and bulk consumers. 


Market players said besides constant supplies from mills, selective buying by stockists and bulk consumers due to month end caused the fall in sweetener prices.



Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices enquired lower by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,670-3,800 and Rs 3,660-3,790 per quintal.

In millgate section, sugar Kinnoni, Asmoli, Ramala, Anupshaher, Baghpat and Nazibabad fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,800, Rs 3,770, Rs 3,725, Rs 3,720, Rs 3,740 and Rs 3,720 per quintal, respectively. 

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal) 

Sugar retail markets - Rs 45.00-50.00 per kg. 

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 4,000-4,100, S-30 Rs 3,990-4,090. 

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,670-3,800, S-30 Rs 3,660-3,790. 

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs 3,710, Kinnoni Rs 3,800, Asmoli Rs 3,770, Dorala Rs 3,720, Budhana Rs 3,720,Thanabhavan Rs 3,715, Dhanora Rs 3,720, Simbholi Rs 3,760, Khatuli Rs 3,750, Dhampur Rs 3,680, Ramala Rs 3,725, Anupshaher Rs 3,720, Baghpat Rs 3,740, Morna Rs 3,730, Sakoti Rs 3,700, Chandpur Rs 3,680, Nazibabad Rs 3,720 and Modinagar 3,700.
