Selling pressure dissolves sugar

Mumbai, February 15:   Lifting pressure continued to weigh on spot sugar prices on Wednesday. At Vashi prices came down further by Rs.5-10 as stockists tried to reduce old stocks and make room for new one. Naka and Mill tender rates were steady. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: (in Rs.) S-grade 3,926-3,995 (3,932-4,000) and M-grade 4,010-4,256 (4,012-4,266). Naka delivery rates: S-grade 3,900-3,950 (3,900-3,950) and M-grade 3,970-4,040 (3,970-4,050).
