The government has decided to make available 1.91 million tonnes (MT) of sugar for November, around four per cent less from the 1.99 MT fixed last month. The sugar released includes 214,000 tonnes of levy sugar and 1.70 MT of non levy (free sale) sugar, an official statement said on Tuesday. This quantity is sufficient to meet the internal demand of sugar for November it said. In India government fixes the quantum of sugar that each mill can sell every month.
