Sugar output to be 32 mt per yr till 2020 Sugar output is expected to be on an average 32 mt per year for the next 10 years, says a latest report. According to the agriculture outlook prepared by OECD and FAO, global output of sugar may soar to 209 mt in 2020-21 as against 158 mt in 2010-11. “India is expected to boost output to some 50% higher than 2008-10, when the output fell sharply,” says report. Coffee exports may drop as prices fall Coffee exports may fall in the next 6 months as prices and demand weaken, an exporters’ group said. “Shipments will taper off from July, and the overall growth in exports this year will be lower than the rise we have seen so far,” said Ramesh Rajah, president of the Coffee exporters association.
