Sanghi Industries Limited has an installed capacity of 6.6 metric tonne per annum (MTPA) clinker and 6.1 MTPA capacity for manufacturing cement in addition to 1 billion tonne of limestone reserves.

 

Following the acquisition by Ambuja Cements, the latter’s consolidated capacity rose to 74.6 MTPA from 68.5 MTPA.

The acquisition also provides an immediate opportunity for low-cost debottlenecking, increasing clinker capacity by 0.5 MTPA and cement capacity by 1.5 MTPA.

 

Following the deal closure, Ambuja Cements will increase its coastal footprint by increasing capacity to 15 MTPA across the West Coast markets with states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala at a very competitive cost based on SIL’s strength of low-cost clinker.

This additional capacity is set to be commissioned over the next 30 months.

The BMC has invited bids for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a desalination plant in the Manori area. The plant will have a daily capacity of 200 MLD, expandable to 400 MLD. Interested parties have one month to submit their bids for the project, which has obtained all necessary approvals. The plant will be established on 12 hectares of government land controlled by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation. The total investment for the plant is estimated to be Rs 1,600 crore, with an additional Rs 1,920 crore allocated for operational costs over 20 years.

 

Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd (BCML) expects robust growth fueled by increased crushing and higher yield. The company is exploring acquisition opportunities while maintaining organic growth. Saraogi expressed confidence in the company's future performance. Early indications suggest a yield exceeding 10%. The preponement of the E20 target to 2025-26 ensures a balanced sugar market. External factors, including an increase in the state-advised price for sugarcane, could pressure the industry. BCML's revenue estimates range between Rs 5,516 crore and Rs 5,824 crore in FY24.
