Cooperation Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said here that Rs 25-crore dues had been released to sugarcane farmers on Monday. He stated this during a meeting with the top brass of Sugarfed. The minister said Rs 500 crore out of Rs 692.71 crore pertaining to the sugarcane crushing season of 2017-18 had been released till date. The balance (Rs 192 crore) would be released soon, he added.
