BIJNOR: A team from Philippines visited Bijnor on Wednesday to study the patterns of sugarcane cultivation in the district which has the highest recovery rate in the state.

A delegation from Philippines, led by Archie Amarra, technical cane adviser and owner of Lopez Sugar Mill, visited cane fields and held discussions with locals and other officials on sowing and recovery methods.

In the past, teams from various foreign countries including Brazil, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mauritius and Nigeria have visited Bijnor to learn sugarcane sowing and recovery techniques.
