Sugar prices rebound on fresh demand

Mumbai, Dec 12 Prices of both varieties of sugar rebounded modestly at the Vashi wholesale market here today following fresh demand from stockists and retailers.

Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,336/3,490 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,336/3,480.

Medium sugar (M-30) moved up Rs 15 per quintal to Rs 3,430/3,695 as against Rs 3,430/3,680, previously.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,336/3,490 (Rs 3,336/3,480).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,430/3,695 (Rs 3,430/3,680).
