Falling prices: Sugar prices have been dropping since Diwali on higher supply and lower demand.  The Centre's decision to allocate 10.4 million tonnes for open sale had added to the woes of the sugar industry.  On Friday, prices fell further by Rs.20 a quintal.  Different varieties of sugar on sale at a retail outlet in Khari Baoli wholesale market in the capital on Friday.
