Normal monsoon till now: IMD

India has so far recorded 329.2 mm of rainfall (till 18 July) durin1 this monsoon. The India Meteorolo1ical Department (IMD) said this is normal—by this time of the monsoon, overall rainfall should be around 328.4 mm. The department predicts more rainfall in Odisha, which has been lashed by heavy downpour for the past three days. Rain is expected at most places in eastern India and alon1 the west coast, and at many places over northwest and northeast India on 23 July and 25 July. Isolated to scattered rains are likely over the rest of the country in the comin1 weeks.
