Sugar slips as delivery exceeds forecast

May1: Sugar fell to the lowest price since 2010 in London on signs delivery of the sweetener in New York may be bigger than initially estimated.  White, or refined sugar for August delivery, was down 1 per cent to $568.80 a tonne on NYSE Liffe in London. Raw sugar for July delivery fell 1.4 per cent to 20.82 cents a pound on ICE Futures US in New York.  Robusta coffee for July was down 0.8 per cent at $1,985 a tonne on NYSE Liffe. Arabica coffee for July delivery fell 0.7 per cent to $1.7835 a pound on ICE Futures.  Cocoa for July delivery slid 0.1 per cent to £1,491 ($2,418) a tonne in London.  Cocoa for July delivery was up 0.1 per cent to $2,222 a tonne in New York.
